I'm always in search of new light leaks, flares, and other unique lens "effects" that I can use as a colorist to add production value or energy to a shot. While I have a fairly good variety of stock footage for these purposes, I occasionally run into something really unique. When I first ran into the work of Michael Christophersson, as known as Flame, I immediately knew it was unique and worth a deeper look. What I discovered in his Spectra Collection One pack was a gorgeous variety of flaring effects that ranged from ethereal glows of color that seemed straight out of a fantasy epic. Others are more realistic and mimic a colorful lens streak similar to those I've seen from older Cooke lenses: an absolutely beautiful effect many strive for in-camera. Rarely have I found a stock footage package in which almost every asset is likely to be useful.

The Spectra Collection One includes 40 clips, encoded as High Quality ProRes 4444 10 bit files. Aside from being unique, they are extremely high quality and could likely be upsourced without issue, in my opinion.
If you take a look at the teaser, you'll notice the unique spectral \ "rainbow"-like quality I mention that is a characteristic to almost all the clips in the pack. While different in each clip, most of them have a similar effect in some form or variety.
Overview: Spectra is very unique pack of light leaks \ flares, while less in quantity when compared to competition, make up for it in quality.
